On behalf of the National Correctional Employees Union, I wish to sincerely thank the men and women working in corrections for their service, devotion and unprecedented courage.  I ask all Americans to reflect on the heroes who ensure the safety of our communities by closely supervising society’s criminals in the jails and prisons across this country. 

Our members who work in correctional institutions across the Northeast are steadfast in their role of keeping our communities safe by providing exceptional care and custody at the facilities they work.  We all owe a debt of gratitude to these professionals for their tireless efforts of keeping the peace.  Each and every one of us has an obligation to be an advocate for all those who serve and protect us.  The NCEU will continue to diligently fight on behalf of these individuals for superior pay, benefits and working conditions. 

Our criminal justice system would be incomplete was it not for the valiant efforts exhibited on a daily basis by the brave men and women working in corrections who perform such a vital function.
